Rich and Doreen BiFulco
The Lord began to place the root of the Matthias Ministries foundation within Rich BiFulco's heart back in 1998. The powerful and life altering "but God" testimony of this amazing story is documented within this website. At the time of this writing Matthias Ministries, which was legally incorporated in the year 2000, has grown through five discernable stages that have each been marked by the Lord's favor and perfect faithfulness.

In the year 2006 Rich ministered as the worship leader as Doreen worked as church administrator in New Beginnings Christian Church in Coram, NY. Over time as their hearts began to unite it became increasingly clear that a new beginning was destined for Rich and Doreen, as well as for Matthias Ministries. Even before they married in 2013 it became apparent that Doreen's administrative and organizational gifts, along with her pastoral heart, were becoming a source of God's provision into the ministry they now share.

Above gifts or talents, Rich and Doreen share a genuine heart of love for God's people and His Church. Many challenges come by way of a ministry that is given to honor God and bring the Body of Christ together in worship across church boundaries. But, Rich and Doreen are proof that it is a "three corded strand" that is not easily broken.
​
Two things have proven unmistakenly true through the life of the ministry they embrace. The first is the importance that all must be founded upon love for God and the souls He loves. And while nothing prepares the way for such love like the worship Rich and Doreen have both been called and drawn to, the second truth centers on the utter importance of prayer. Given these two...love and prayer...it is little wonder that Matthias Ministries has become known for loving the Lord, and His people, through the worship-prayer paradigm of Harp and Bowl.
